Description / Electric Vehicle Antifreeze Ready to Use 1000L IBC
1000 Litre IBC of ready to use EV antifreeze and coolant that is specifically designed for Electric Vehicles
Think Green EV Coolant is a cutting-edge antifreeze and coolant designed for Electric Vehicles. It gives freeze protection to -37°C and a boiling point up to 108°C in a ready to use Organic Additive Technology (OAT) formula. It delivers comprehensive corrosion protection while maintaining low electrical conductivity, enhancing both performance and safety. This advanced formulation also compensates for the residual effects of controlled atmosphere brazing (CAB), ensuring long-term system stability.
Benefits:
Electrical Safety:
· Stable and reduced electrical conductivity (< 100 μS/cm). As a result of its reduced electrical conductivity, the effects of short circuit paths are minimised.
· Significant reduction of the consequential generation of hydrogen due to electrolysis when compared to classic water-based coolants.
Material Protection:
· Provides excellent protection for a variety of metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, cast iron, and steel.
· Compatible with commonly used elastomers and thermoplastics found in EV cooling systems.
· Extends the lifespan of components, reducing overall maintenance requirements.
Flux Stabilisation:
· Compensates for Aluminum CAB brazing flux to improve the compatibility of the coolant.
· Low and stable electrical conductivity over time due to exclusive combination of inhibitors and stabilisers.
Sustainability:
· As a Think Green product, it has a carefully selected organic additive technology.
Thermal Properties
· Delivers freeze protection to -37°C and a boiling point up to 108°C in a ready to use formula.
Recommended Use
Think Green EV Coolant is ideal for indirect cooling applications in EV battery systems, modules, and packs that require low conductivity fluids. It is not intended for use in traditional engine coolant applications. It is not suitable for fuel cell nor immersive cooling systems where direct electrical contact is possible.
Caution: When Think Green EV Coolant is used in with electrical motors, power electronics or auxiliary heaters a premature increase of electrical conductivity may occur. Think Green EV Coolant is miscible with other low conductive fluids with a similar conductivity range. It is advised to rinse the cooling system with Think Green EV Coolant or demineralised water (electrical conductivity below 100 μS/cm) prior to (re)filling the cooling system. A full drain is required after rinsing. This is because conventional engine coolants have electrical conductivity levels more than 10 times higher, potentially causing safety hazards in the cooling system. Think Green EV Coolant should not be mixed with any conventional engine coolant as small additions will increase electrical conductivity which may affect safety and performance.
The use of Think Green EV Coolant in systems designed for standard antifreeze / coolant may result in accelerate aging of the fluid and a loss of corrosion protection due to the increase in electrical conductivity of the fluid.
Think Green EV Coolant Key Approvals
· GB 29743.2 – 20XX
· ASTM D8566.
· Approved by Cosworth for Delta Cosworth
· Recommended by Hyundai Motor Group for Kia and Hyundai.
Storage & Stability
Store in temperatures between -20°C and 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight. Think Green EV Coolant is stable for up to 12 months. It is advised to test the coolants electrical conductivity and pH before the product is added to the system.
