AdBlue – 1000L IBC On-Site Refill

Landowner will refill a minimum of 2 x 1000 litre IBC’s on their local customers premises under a controlled fill, giving our local customers the ability to reduce the cost of AdBlue (as IBC’s do not need to be transported back to Landowner for re-filling).  This requires our drivers to undergo specific training in the requirements of ISO22241 which is more extensive than that required to simply re-fill a bulk tank. Specific, suitable equipment is used to ensure that the product delivered meets Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. (VDA) quality standards.

Prior to ordering, we require customers to ensure the following conditions are met:

Either the IBC’s to be filled are Landowner IBC’s with seals intact or the IBC’s have only previously stored AdBlue and have been supplied by a Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. (VDA) approved AdBlue manufacturer directly or via a merchant. Evidence of this (IBC label) will be required when the order is placed via email.  This will be checked again prior ro refilling by the driver.

In addition to the above the following conditions must also be met:

• General condition of the IBC’s should be good and the IBC must be clean including side walls, valves with secure bases. Prior to refilling, the delivery driver will assess the IBC condition inside and out.
• The IBC’s are located in an easily accessible zone for a full sized articulated tanker discharge (over 16m in length).
• The re-filling area is well lit for the delivery driver.
• The liquid level can be monitored before and during refill to prevent any overfilling.

Landowner will not deliver if the delivery location:

• Requires working at height
• Is within an ATEX Zone.

The Customer certifies to take complete responsibility for IBC(s) and / or tanks being fit and suitable to receive AdBlue. The customer agrees to present clean IBC(s) and or tanks which are free of any contaminants including residual previous products that can negatively impact the AdBlue quality specification. No quality complaints will be accepted which are the result of a customer’s IBC’s and / or tanks not meeting Landowner standards of storage for AdBlue. All bulk AdBlue delivered is sampled during loading and samples retained for a period of 3 years. In the event of any dispute, the customer agrees that the Landowner retained sample will be used to prove the quality of the product delivered.
